Another 25 new players were added to the Florida Falcons 2010 team as their third and final round of open tryouts came to a close. With a mix of rookies and veterans in attendance, the players sloshed their way through a series of drills, plays, and routes on the muddy grounds of Thunderbolt Park in Fleming Island. The Florida Football Alliance Announces Divisional Alignments!!!
The Florida Football Alliance, after careful consideration, has set up its divisional alignment for the 2010 season. The FFA will have four divisions and two conferences. "We are excited about how we were able to align our teams. It was important to do it in a way that minimizes travel and that keeps our divisions balanced. We also wanted to increase the owners' ability to take in revenue from visiting teams. This will only happen if we can keep visiting teams' travel under 2 1/2 hours. The other consideration was to try and keep traditional rivalries going. We have only completed the first part of our challenge. The next part will be to put together an exciting schedule,"said FFA Commissioner Eddie L Starling. Please use the link below to see the FFA 2010 divisional alignment:

PRESENTS THE 2009 NFL RULE CHANGES
The Florida Football Alliance Referee Association (FFARA) has announced the 2009 NFL rule changes. In the FFA, when new NFL rule changes come out they are immediately adopted to the FFA rules. The FFA follows NFL rules and uses these rules as a strict guideline for all sanctioned, official FFA season games. The NFL spends millions of dollars on research for safety rules every year. "It is important that we take advantage of the NFL findings and use them as a model for our own safety measures," said FFA VP of Officials Alex Barinaga. Some of the highlights are changes to special teams, new roughing the passer rules, and blind side safety measures. Please see the link below for the new 2009 NFL rules changes:

The Road To The Alliance Bowl Just Got Tougher!!!
The Florida Football Alliance continued their competitive ways by adding two premier teams: The Sarasota Millionaires and the St. Pete Sharks. The Millionaires are ranked fourth in the National Football Events Poll and have been the SSFL Rice Bowl runner-up the past two years. The St. Pete Sharks are the four time SSFL champions. These two teams will be reunited with some long time rivalries with their new FFA Family. The FFA also added the upstart Space Coast Predators. The Predators have some veteran players, and they feel they are up to the challenge of competing in the FFA. "We are obviously very excited about our new additions. We wanted to add teams that were going to add to an already competitive league and we did just that!" said FFA EVP Chris McIntosh. The Florida Football Alliance added the two-time SSFL champion Orlando Rage earlier this year. The meeting was like being in a who's who of minor league football. The FFA now has seven league champions along with a host of highly competitive teams: The Broward Bears (3X Diamond League), Orlando Rage (2X SSFL, NFE National Champions) Miami Bulls (SSFL, FFA and 2x MLFN National Champs), Florida Thunder(NIFL), Duval Panthers (SSFL Champs as the Duval Lions), St. Pete Sharks (4X SSFL Champs), and the St Lucie Bobcats (FFA). The Florida Football Alliance has continued to grow but has been able to add quality teams in the process. We don't care about how many teams we have. We are only concerned with adding quality, competitive teams that fit our core values and make sense with our business model," said FFA President Terrence Page, Sr.

FFA Has Seven Teams in the Top 50!
The newly-formed Semi-Pro BCS Rankings is a ranking system that is similar to the same system that gives us our BCS rankings for College football. This system is the most comprehensive system that allows teams to be fairly ranked across the country. The Semi-Pro BCS teams are ranked using (9) criterias to calculate their ranking. The criteria are: All Games, BCS Teams, Weighted, Home and Away games, Strength of schedule, Winning Teams at game date, Winning teams now, Hot Teams, and Upsets. The calculated number is based on a total of percentage points that equal up to 100.00%. Once all the categories have been calculated they are then divided to give you an average criteria number. This number will be used to determine team rankings. The Florida Football Alliance has seven teams ranked in the top 50 and nine teams ranked in the top 90. That's half of our teams ranked in the top 1/3 of the country. When we say the competition is here in the FFA that's what we mean! The FFA, going into only its third season, has completely raised the bar in minor league football. The FFA is the only league in Florida ranked in this poll for the 2009 season. Once again we set the standard and continue to be the benchmark for the older leagues in Florida! The Florida Football Alliance is the league that "Delivers", and where every day truly is "A Great Day In The Alliance!!!"

THE ALLIANCE CARES PROGRAM IS BACK!!!
It's summertime, and in the Florida Football Alliance it means community service. The Alliance Cares program is a guideline set by FFA President Terrence Page, Sr. for our teams to go out and give back to the youth in their individual communities. President Page will match every community service hour conducted by all the teams. Here are some of the things our teams are doing within their communities:
Falcons Night with the Blues!

Round #1 Playoff Game
Austin Outlaws 14 vs. Jacksonville Dixie Blues 55
The Dixie Blues hosted the Austin Outlaws Saturday night July 11 at The Bolles School. Both teams came in as division winners Austin 7-1, Blues 8-0. Austin had proven their domination in the Southwest Division with a big defensive front. The Dixie Blues had worked hard for the past two weeks studying and getting ready for some Texas football.
Coach Don Braddock readied the team in their last practice before Saturday nights game. "Girls, we have worked hard to get where we are. There are only eight teams left in the country. We are shaking up the milk bottle, and letting the cream rise to the top," says Braddock. "We haven't peaked yet. We are only getting better." The energy on the practice field was intense. The Concentration factor was stronger and the burning desire to succeed was obvious.
The Dixie Blues were serving up Lattes from the opening Kickoff and the Outlaws had no answer for Jacksonville's speed, fundamentals, heart and teamwork.

The Florida Falcons and the Jacksonville Dixie Blues join forces.
The Florida Falcons are proud to announce their partnership with the Jacksonville Dixie Blues.
The Jacksonville Dixie Blues are entering their seventh season in women's tackle football after joining the Women's Football Alliance. They have enjoyed a successful past and look forward to an exciting future. During the inaugural season in 2001, the Dixie Blues won the Atlantic Coast Conference and advanced to the first annual World Bowl in San Diego, California, where they fell to the California Quake, a veteran team from Los Angeles.
The Dixie Blues' second season was just as exciting, and even more successful than the first. The Dixie Blues over-powered the Atlantic Coast Conference winning all but one of its games. Again, the Dixie Blues advanced to the World Bowl, this time in Birmingham, Alabama. There, the Dixie Blues crushed the Indianapolis Vipers 68-20 and were crowned the 2002-2003 National Champions.
The Dixie Blues joined the Independent Women's Football League (IWFL) during its third and fourth seasons. After playing through the 2004 season as an exhibition team with no playoff opportunities, the Dixie Blues played the Atlanta Xplosion in the first round of the 2005 playoffs.
We were excited to enter the fifth season in the Women's Football League (WFL) to continue a tradition of excellence. The teams we were facing included, Tennessee Heat, Kentucky Force, and The Mississippi Rapids. We remained undefeated during 2006 and went on to become the 2006 Superior Bowl Champions!
We began our 2007 season with a strong start as well. The Dixie Blues again dominated the WFL winning all regular season games, and again, won the 2007 Superior Bowl.
The Dixie Blues, after sitting out a season due to scheduling conflicts from a previous league, are eager to start 2009, after joining the Women's Football Alliance. The team appears hungry to play after sitting out a season. There is an extraordinary level of excitement among these athletes. After training started in January, they have been more focused this year, than any year in the past. The team is ready to come out strong, and have been named, by the league, as possible contenders for the 2009 national title.
We are currently seeking sponsorships.
